Paric Completes St. Charles County's First Luxury Retirement Community

Luxury retirement living has come to St. Charles County for the first time with a community called River's Edge.  Developed by First Capital Group, the 185-unit complex is adjacent to the St. Charles Golf Course in the southern part of the city near the Mississippi River.

"We're proud to introduce affordable, resort-style living for seniors to greater St. Charles," said John Gammon, vice president of First Capital Group. "River's Edge focuses on a catered service philosophy to meet the needs of residents."

Located at 600 River's Edge Drive on an 11-acre site, amenity-laden River's Edge is surrounded by a landscape marked by lakes, fountains, gazebos and walking paths.

The project features 200,000 square feet of finished space.  It includes a main four-story building with 147 one and two-bedroom apartments and 19 duplexes hosting total of 38 two-bedroom villas. The mid-rise apartment building features a porte-cochere entry and a façade accented by natural stone and weathered red brick that combine with a hipped roof to express a residential look. The buildings are sited to maximize waterscape vistas.

All units have a fully equipped kitchen and a washer and dryer. Most units also include balconies or patios.  The villas offer more than 1,400 square feet of living space and include a fireplace and attached garage.

Community amenities include an indoor, heated swimming pool, whirlpool, massage/fitness center, library and computer center, salon, restaurant and private dining room, clubroom, theater and a country store.  Residents are afforded the opportunity to take classes or attend events at nearby Lindenwood University.

River's Edge offers added comforts and conveniences that include covered parking, transportation, utilities, 24-hour concierge, and an emergency response system.
