Paric Selected To Lead $50 Million Expansion of LSS Laclede Groves Continuing Care Retirement Community

Posted on November 24, 2010

Lutheran Senior Services has named Paric to lead the $50 million upgrade and expansion of its existing Laclede Groves continuing care retirement community.

The 350,000 square-foot expansion includes a new 80-unit independent living building and expansion of the existing care center for the senior living community, located on south Laclede Station Road in Webster Groves. The expansion will house a range of care options including independent living and skilled nursing, as well as amenities including a fitness center, media room, therapy pool, juice bar, beauty salon/barber shop and new dining venues.

Skilled nursing areas will feature a unique “household” model of care with residents sharing common living, dining and kitchen areas designed to mimic what people experience in a home setting. In addition, the expansion project will add a clinic and facilities for on-site physical and occupational therapies.

Construction is expected to begin in spring 2011, with various phases opened and occupied through completion in late 2012.

Perkins Eastman of Pittsburgh, Pa. and New York, N.Y. is the architect on the project, with structural engineering services by SSE of Kirkwood; MEP engineering by Tennill & Associates of Chesterfield, Mo.; civil engineering services by BAX Engineering of St. Charles; and landscape architecture by the Lawrence Group of St. Louis.
