Special Projects Group Leader

Senior Executive Leadership - The leader of Special Projects is a key member of the Senior Management Team that runs Paric Construction. He/she will report to the CEO & President of Paric, and serve as the leader of the Special Projects Division - setting vision, determining direction and implementing strategy.

Strategy – The Group Leader is responsible for creating an effective marketing and sales growth strategy with the supporting structure, systems and processes. He/she will be expected to retain business with existing clients, tap potential associated with the Construction division and development company and find new opportunities for expanded market penetration around and beyond the St. Louis region.

Sales - The Special Projects Group operates with a sales force and project managers who price and project manage interior build-outs, remodels and small projects ranging from $50K to $5MM in scope. On average, projects finish in 3 months. In a typical year, a project manager in the group would oversee 15 projects.

P&L Accountability – The Group Leader has full P&L accountability for the Division and will be rewarded both on Division performance and on total Paric company performance.

Management - Direct reports include the current seasoned sales team and project managers. The Group Leader will have responsibility for talent maximization, with assistance available from Paric Construction’s human resources department and leadership.

Operations – The Group Leader will oversee process optimization and be expected to find opportunities to make Paric Special Projects product delivery more customer responsive, of higher quality and increasingly efficient. Margin improvement will be one of the measures of your performance.

Resources – The Group leader will work with all management and resources of Paric to develop the most efficient and effective delivery model for Special Projects. This is an area open for discussion and change.

Customer Focus - Paric is clear about criteria for an ideal customer. The Group Leader of Special Projects will be held accountable for customer retention through quality service.

Current Initiatives for the Paric Special Projects Group Leader:

· Develop a team, and bring it to its fullest potential through recruiting, assessment and development.

· Sales growth strategy and sales management assessment.

· Access current processes and practices and provide recommendation to provide a more efficient, effective service delivery model for customers.

· Identifying new markets and creating the marketing plans to penetrate them along with existing markets.

· Working closely with Paric Construction, current owners / customers, and strategic partnering relationships to grow interiors business.

· Participation in the 2009-2012 Paric Company strategic planning process in late 2008.

· Developing a brand and marketing plan to communicate and market the service effectively to reach our core markets both internally and externally.

Employment Pre-requisites:

· A demonstrated track record of at least 5 years of senior leadership (president, general manager, COO) and management in an industrial, construction or services setting is mandatory.

· A career path with technical experience, such as construction, architecture, engineering, project management, operations or manufacturing is required.

· Knowledge of construction or real estate development is a plus.

· A hands-on appreciation for tangible products such as buildings, devices or electronics – is important, as you have to be able to envision concept to result.

· A Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. MBA is beneficial.

Personal Characteristics:

· Must be an experienced senior executive with impeccable leadership credentials.

· Must be entrepreneurial with a well-developed sense of "ownership." If you have thought about or have started your own business, come talk to us.

· Proven experience generating bottom line growth is essential. Expect to explain to us in detail how you led your organization through developing a sound strategy, built consensus and executed with specific results.

· Must be an accomplished self-starter who is comfortable accepting responsibility for successfully achieving personal, group and company objectives.

· Strong analytical and decision-making skills including forecasting ability, measuring the success of team members, monitoring team and individual goals, and sharing success factors with the team.

· Excellent personal organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and direct the flow of multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

· Excellent communication skills, unquestionable character and background, and a real command presence are mandatory.

· Command presence to be the face of Paric Special Projects and enhance our visibility in the region.

· Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
