Position Description

PARIC Corporation is currently seeking the right candidate for a Virtual Design & Construction Support Specialist position. This person will become a success services ambassador for project teams using VDC technology. They will make job site visits to verify: field technology is ordered, delivered, and set-up correctly (BIM Stations, tables), the project team is trained and prepared for VDC related activities, as well as identify opportunities to improve the user experience. This position reports directly to the VDC Director.


  • Assist with ordering Field technology (BIM Stations, tablets, etc.)
  • Assist VDC Coordinators with BIM coordination sessions for PARIC and MEPF subcontractors
    • New processes are implemented and tested for accuracy, efficiency, and usability
  • Conduct training sessions for PARIC staff and subcontractor team members on various software, hardware, and general VDC processes
  • Must be open to new technology, highly adaptable to change, and able to implement processes and technology while collecting input from user experiences to identify potential improvements
  • Develop virtual mock-ups and assembly diagrams to assist field team
  • Facilitate model progression and verify LOD requirements
  • Provide ad-hoc modeling as needed to support coordination and/or preconstruction processes
  • Assist in developing point models/plans for robotic layout teams
  • Assist with managing BIM360 account permissions
  • Assist with setting up and managing reports and checklists
  • Assist with managing model content protocols and verify updates from BIM team members
  • Assist with developing 2D and BIM-based logistics plans
  • Assist with developing model-based sequence studies
  • Assist with merging survey data with vertical design content (BIM)
  • Assist preconstruction team with linking schedules and estimates to BIM
  • Assist with developing schematic models for preconstruction efforts, including conceptual project design, interior/exterior renderings, site plans, campus master plans, animations, and sequence studies

The ideal candidate will have

  • Architecture degree or Construction Management experience
    • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Great communication and effective listening
  • Strong understanding of design and construction processes
  • Efficient knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, Navisworks, and Excel required
  • Experience with BIM360 Glue/Field, Photoshop, Lumion, and Point Layout are beneficial
