Northeast Missouri Power Cooperative is a transmission cooperative serving eight Member-Distribution Cooperatives in Northeast Missouri and Southeast Iowa. The 17,700 square foot headquarters facility, located in Palmyra, Missouri, was built in the mid-1960’s and was in need of major repair, upgrading and expansion. The project addressed building safety concerns, maintenance and energy efficiency issues, code compliance problems, site elevation and water runoff issues, and need for expansion of their board room and secure hardened storage areas.

PARIC, along with the Northeast Missouri Power Cooperative management staff and architect, planned, designed and re-constructed this 1960’s building and added approximately 3,000 square feet of new space. The rebuilt facility will facilitate the business of Northeast Missouri Power Cooperative and provide for a modern, energy efficient, highly functional building. Construction was completed in May 2014 and Northeast Missouri Power Cooperative staff members moved back into their re-built facility in June.
