Position Summary

This position will be focused on improving the way the company manages internal and external communications, specifically Public Relations, Social Media, and Advertising. They will also be involved in the production of proposals and presentation materials, and supporting our business development team.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Utilizing local media relationships to develop strategic PR opportunities
  • Writing and distributing company press releases
  • Writing and creating the layout for company newsletters for both internal and external communication
  • Developing content for and monitoring the company’s social media presence (paid and organic)
  • Administering and evaluating reports on social media analytics and trends
  • Creating and managing news content for the company’s public website
  • Assisting in a writing/proofreading capacity for RFP/RFQ process
  • Supporting the design and developing outbound marketing campaigns
  • Assisting in coordinating client and community outreach events including golf tournaments, community service programs, etc.
  • Creating award submissions, both internally and externally
  • Assisting in collateral material creation processes to ensure they are up-to-date and accurate

PR & Marketing Expertise Requirements

  • Experience writing press releases, articles, white papers, newsletters, and blog posts
  • Experience developing presentations and/or proposals
  • Layout and copywriting experience in Adobe InDesign
  • Relevant experience managing content with WordPress or another website content management tool

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or English
  • 3-5 years of previous experience in the public relations or marketing field, with experience working on proposals/qualification statements and/or presentations
  • Proficiency in desktop publishing (Microsoft Office, and Adobe InDesign)
  • Exceptional organizational skills and project/program management skills
  • Exemplary interviewing, writing, and storytelling skills with technical writing experience
  • Strict attention to detail and highly organized
  • Experience managing creating content for social
  • Ability to balance workload, prioritize and work under tight deadlines with a positive attitude
  • Graphic Design experience preferred
