Position Description

PARIC Corporation is seeking the right candidate for a Senior Project Superintendent role in the St. Louis region. This position will be responsible for ensuring that projects are being managed and constructed in a manner that is consistent with the highest industry standards. This position is expected to set a high standard on every job for customer service and satisfaction, quality, safety, on-time completion and positive public perception. The Project Superintendent also manages the project material (all services, materials, equipment, etc., which may be needed) and logistical support necessary for project completion. This individual will be a seasoned construction professional capable of leading projects of $25M and above. This position reports directly to the General Superintendent.


  • Ensure the project is managed and constructed according to PARIC’s Standards
  • Supervise safety as implemented by the Safety Engineer
  • Follow PARIC’s process or procedures
  • Oversee all job-site tasks and ensure they are completed correctly and on time
  • Work with PM to determine staffing needs
  • Accurately report man-hours, quantities, and equipment reports
  • Ensure projects follow PARIC’s culture and values
  • Instill PARIC culture and values in project team
  • Coordinate, schedule and deliver, jobsite office trailers, security boxes and trash boxes
  • Oversee and help manage PARIC Self-Performed work
  • Monitor and measure productivity against estimate and job cost
  • Regularly collaborate with Project Manager or Engineer to develop, update, and implement the Project Schedule
  • Actively support and facilitate our manpower diversity goals
  • All other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have

  • 10 or more years of construction experience with a General Contractor or Construction Manager or equivalent in a related position
  • Experience as a lead Superintendent
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting all blueprints and shop drawings
  • A working knowledge of the construction industries best practices and experience with managing project schedules, budgets and costs, and contract management
  • Must be able to multi-task and have good problem-solving skills
  • Must possess leadership skills, exceptional communication, and a credible reputation among local and regional subcontractors
  • Be able to proactively manage challenging, multi-faceted projects with attention to detail
