This individual will travel to multiple job sites and be responsible for coordinating site/building control, teaching foreman and carpenters the basics principles of layout and how to use the hardware/software. This is very much a Quality Control role, and the successful candidate will continue to develop best practices and training to enable PARIC to refine our layout and surveying practices. There are opportunities to take-on other responsibilities and be cross-trained to learn laser scanning and aerial surveying, therefore, we are looking for someone who enjoys learning new technology, and will assist PARIC in our pursuit of staying at the forefront of VDC technology.


  • Licensed surveyor (or soon to be licensed)
  • Good handle on survey/layout best practices
  • Experience: 3-5 years in-the-field preferred Site and building control
  • General layout of walls, footings/foundations, flatwork, curbs, etc..
  • Familiar with AutoCAD and Robotic Total Stations
  • Open to learning to technology
  • Travel: 50% (Depending upon project mix: 80% day trips in St. Louis and -20% overnight)
  • Team player, likes to teach others
  • Self-motivated, high attention to detail, and a sense of urgency
