PARIC | McHugh Topping Out Of 212 South Meramec Tower Transforms Clayton Skyline
In today’s topping out of 212 South Meramec, the 26-story tower at 212 South Meramec in Clayton, Joint Venture partners PARIC | McHugh, lifted the final batch of concrete to the summit of the building. 212. South Meramec is the first of several residential projects which confirm Clayton's transition to mixed residential and office center. The ceremony honored everyone who played a role in this significant structure, which will change the community’s skyline while ushering in the transition from a once-quiet County Seat office district to a mixed-use residential and office area.
Construction of the $54.5 million project, started in November 2015, and is on-time, on-budget, and without time-lost injuries, according to PARIC Vice President, Paul Giacoletto.
Project owners, CA Ventures of Chicago and White Oak Realty Partners of Rosemont, Illinois, represented the ownership group at the topping out.
The high-rise will offer 250 apartments on 20 floors with a roof-top pool deck, lounge, rec-room, and fitness center, plus five stories of parking and street-level commercial or retail space. Located just a half-block from the Clayton Metro Link station, the developers anticipate attracting workers from the city of Clayton, and commuters to the Central West End, Cortex, the BJC complex, and downtown St. Louis. A specialty concrete mix was developed for use at 212 South Meramec that had not been utilized in St. Louis before, pouring over 10,000 cubic yards of concrete total.
212 South Meramec is slated for completion in late summer of 2017.
