Forest Hill Village – Capstone Winner

We’re excited to share that PARIC has received the 2026 Kansas City Business Journal Capstone Award for Community Impact for the Robin Winner Domestic Violence Center at Forest Hill Village project. 

Previously serving as an elementary school campus, PARIC converted this 12.3 acre site into Forest Hill Village, Synergy Services’ new transitional housing for survivors of domestic violence. 

The one-story school was strategically demolished to retain critical infrastructure and renovated into a multi-unit building with two and three-bedroom apartments. This project also included the construction of a new, two-story residential building, creating six, four-bedroom apartments for larger families. Amenities include meditation and family gathering spaces, outdoor playground and offices for supportive services.
