PARIC completed two phases of construction on the campus of St. Louis College of Pharmacy. The construction of the college’s Academic & Research Building and its Recreation & Student Center mark part of the largest expansion project in school history.
The first phase of construction included a new six-story 213,000 sq. ft. academic building and encompasses a 250-seat lecture hall, interactive laboratory facilities, additional study space, research space, general classrooms, a theater, as well as a welcome center for prospective students and their families. The exterior of the building features nearly 45,000 sq. ft. of glass, and a curtain wall façade. The building frame is made out of structural steel. Approximately 1,665 tons of structural steel was used throughout the entire building.
The second phase of construction included a 193,000 sq. ft. building which houses a gymnasium, student dining facility, fitness center, support offices, as well as a 220-bed dormitory, which doubled living space for students of the pharmacy college. The athletic facility includes a NAIA regulation basketball and volleyball facility that can be arranged with three courts at once and a running track. project is being constructed using concrete tilt wall, structural steel, precast hollow core, architectural precast panels, and glass curtain wall.
