PARIC recently completed the expansion the athletic program on the John Burroughs campus.
A new 50,000 sq. ft. parking lot with 150 parking spaces was added with associated site work, LED parking lot lighting, security cameras, and striping.
Other exterior improvements included the expansion of the existing 72,000 sq. ft. field hockey and lacrosse fields to accommodate regulation soccer, field hockey, and lacrosse play, and will include new turf, paint markings, and drainage systems. New concrete were poured for bleacher pads and sidewalks, and new fencing and landscaping will be installed.
The athletic expansion also included a two-phase natatorium and squash courts project. A new 20,000 sq. ft. natatorium for a new eight-lane, 25-yard short-course pool with a 200-person viewing area were completed first followed by new locker-rooms and restrooms, mechanical and equipment/storage rooms, and a prefunction space that opens to the quad. Sitework included utility relocation and under drain system implementation to accommodate existing soil conditions. Phase 2 included the renovation of the old pool space into four regulation squash courts with flexible playing space and a viewing area.
