MASTERCARD GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY & OPERATIONS HEADQUARTERS
PARIC was selected by Mastercard to construct its new Global Technology and Operations (GTO) headquarters in O’Fallon, Missouri. This Landmark investment in Mastercard’s global operations serves as the secure nerve center for every Mastercard credit and debit card transaction worldwide, necessitating absolute zero downtime.
The 525,000-square-foot, LEED Platinum-certified campus consolidates approximately 2,200 employees and features a mission-critical 75,000-square-foot data center. This purpose-built facility replaced an insufficient retrofit, providing a highly resilient environment for global operations, cybersecurity and innovation.
The facility is engineered to withstand severe natural and man-made threats. Critical systems far exceed standard resiliency, including structural designs that surpass California’s seismic standards for protection against earthquakes and tornadoes. The data features a reinforced concrete roof with a gravel and tar membrane, while mechanical equipment is strategically located outside the data hall to eliminate risks from overhead leaks. Redundant power is guaranteed by a 60,000-square-foot on-site energy. HVAC and flood mitigation are addressed through a raised-floor air circulation system with sloped floors to channel water away from critical infrastructure.
