Medina Electric is in the process of relocating their Rio Grande City office to a new 8-acre site in town. The new facility will consist of a 9,500 sq. ft. office building, 6,000 sq. ft. warehouse, 6,000 sq. ft. vehicle storage building, and a 2,700 sq. ft. covered parking structure. The entire structure will be designed as a pre-engineered metal building, including brick and metal panel façade. The facility will utilize LED lighting throughout, rainwater collection for irrigation, and other high-efficiency design concepts. A hardened space will be constructed to protect sensitive IT servers and infrastructure. The new secure site will be surrounded by an 8 ft. tall concrete fence along with access control throughout the facility.
Construction will begin in August 2017 and is scheduled to be substantially complete in the summer of 2018.
