Mississippi County Electric Cooperative has broken ground on a new 29,000 sq. ft. headquarters facility in Blytheville, Arkansas. Aging facilities, growth, and the addition of the fiber communications initiative have driven the need to expand operations. The new electric cooperative facility will include administrative offices, operations support for linemen and engineering staff, vehicle storage, and warehouse space. The office space consists of storm-hardened construction to protect employees and valuable equipment.
Energy efficient design concepts such as Variable Refrigerant HVAC, LED lighting, and solar panels are planned for the project.
