This project was a 56,000 sq ft. interior renovation of the Midway and Headhouse at Union Station. The space was originally a train station, but now houses conference rooms, exhibit space and restrooms. The renovation included high-end finishes such imported French tile.
PARIC’s self perform group completed all drywall on the spacious project which was completed in just 190 days.
PARIC completed 18,392 sq. ft. of new construction on seven acres of the South St. Louis retail location of CarMax. This facility is CarMax’s first in the St. Louis region and has space to showcase over 250 vehicles on site. The facility was built with a large glassed retail space with a two-story high ceiling, with adjacent offices and conference rooms. Construction of this facility also included a full service repair and maintenance facility designed to hold multiple lifts, each with their own bay, as well as a main service bay entrance, a customer lounge, a car wash, and an on-site underground fuel tank and dispenser.
This renovation converted a 3,371 sq. ft. interior renovation of an existing fast food restaurant to a new Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers. The renovation included the addition of a second drive-thru lane, all new finishes including new tile, wall FRP, wall tile band, new lighting and plumbing fixtures. Major renovations were made to the kitchen as well, including all new kitchen appliances and new grease hoods. All existing acoustical ceiling was removed and replaced with an open ceiling system, new ductwork and acoustical treatments.
The project duration was only nine weeks thanks to an accelerated schedule. This required PARIC to work with owner’s vendors to allow them to complete their installations during construction which allowed Freddy’s to open as quickly as possible.
The renovation of the historic Headhouse portion of the St. Louis Union Station Doubletree by Hilton included upgrading the existing finishes to 69 five-star rooms with wood flooring, wet bars, crown molding, and barn style glass shower doors. The hotel was recently named part of Hilton’s “curio” collection, an exclusive group of four and five star hotels that offer travelers distinct and authentic experiences in key markets.
The South Central Arkansas Electric Cooperative facility is located on approximately 15 acres of land, providing adequate space to consolidate all of the cooperative’s functions on a single site. The facilities were built using pre-engineered metal. The office and operations building is attached to the warehouse and vehicle storage building which will limit the need for redundant support facilities and get management and operations crews under the same roof. The office portion, which is around 4,000 sq. ft., includes a lobby with a teller window, a training room, and a conference/board room.
All of the service and construction vehicles are located under a carport with the loading and warehouse area in the center of the building- on the same level- for the ease of moving materials and equipment. A separate vehicle maintenance building with service bays and a wash bay was also built on the site along with a fuel island, new parking areas, and a drive-through.
Belterra Park Gaming & Entertainment Center is 200,000 sq. ft. sitting on 122 acres just east of downtown Cincinnati. This project was completed in just 16 months. The structure consists of a concrete podium and structural steel on drilled piers with a metal panel skin. This facility includes a number of restaurants, video lottery terminals, and off-track betting.
The racetrack includes a 7/8 mile turf track, a one-mile dirt track as well as, grandstands for spectators. The site includes barns, dormitories, bathrooms, a racing administration office, and a maintenance building to support track operations for over 1,000 horses.
Northeast Missouri Power Cooperative is a transmission cooperative serving eight Member-Distribution Cooperatives in Northeast Missouri and Southeast Iowa. The 17,700 square foot headquarters facility, located in Palmyra, Missouri, was built in the mid-1960’s and was in need of major repair, upgrading and expansion. The project addressed building safety concerns, maintenance and energy efficiency issues, code compliance problems, site elevation and water runoff issues, and need for expansion of their board room and secure hardened storage areas.
PARIC, along with the Northeast Missouri Power Cooperative management staff and architect, planned, designed and re-constructed this 1960’s building and added approximately 3,000 square feet of new space. The rebuilt facility will facilitate the business of Northeast Missouri Power Cooperative and provide for a modern, energy efficient, highly functional building. Construction was completed in May 2014 and Northeast Missouri Power Cooperative staff members moved back into their re-built facility in June.
This renovation of an existing space inside of St. Louis Union Station, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, was completed in approximately two and a half months.
The Grand Hall portion of the project was a renovation of 9,522 sq. ft. of space. This portion of the project included the renovation of features such as the original terrazzo floors and an existing patio. In addition to the refurbishing of existing features, the Grand Hall now includes a new 90’ long decorative bar, new decorative monolithic columns, a new concierge desk and a new business center. The most unique feature of this space is the integration of a 3D mapping light show created in conjunction with TechnoMedia.
The Market is immediately adjacent to the Grand Hall and was completed as a part of the same project. This portion now includes, a coffee shop, a 3D train display, custom decorative terrazzo tile flooring, new glass storefronts, Venetian plaster work and built-in custom cabinetry. This section also included the restoration of artisanal paintings, arches, cornices, flat plaster walls and columns.
DS&O Electric Cooperative is an electric utility facility located in Solomon, KS. The Cooperative services approximately 8,500 residential and commercial meters in some thirty communities spread throughout a nine-county area in Central Kansas.
The new facility brought all the DS&O Electric Cooperative facilities located in Solomon onto one site and provide for a safer, more efficient and convenient operation. The 45,580 sq.ft. facility includes added member service features such as a drive through, community room, and ample parking. Safety was improved with a complete site security system and added protection for members, employees, and equipment with a tornado shelter, enclosed parking for all company service vehicles, and state of the art technology equipment facilities.
PARIC completed an interior renovation to the Dentons office space in St. Louis, MO in August of 2014. This project occupies the 30th and 31st floor of the Metropolitan Square building on North Broadway downtown. This renovation included a multitude of features, including partitions, two operable partitions with new structural steel supports, a break room/pantry area, kitchen, and areas for the administrative staff. The space features wall coverings, paint, carpet, wood flooring, fabric panels, skyline glass, and back-painted glass. PARIC worked determinedly to complete the job while the tenant still occupied the office, and coordinated with the client to move affected employees’ work spaces as needed to accommodate construction.
